About the role

We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer to join our team supporting a leading technology platform that automates and personalizes direct mail at scale. In this role, you will contribute to the development of supply chain and logistics solutions, building scalable applications using Node.js, Go, and Vue.js. You'll work within a service-oriented architecture running on AWS, leveraging technologies such as SQS and Lambda, while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of supply chain and logistics solutions, particularly in middle-mile sortation and direct mail commingling technologies
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Node.js, Go, and Vue.js
Coach and mentor fellow engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team
Partner with Engineering leadership to support and strengthen the team's engineering culture
Collaborate closely with Product and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
Lead and champion best practices in software design, architecture, and code quality
Participate in system improvements to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
Write clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably with Node.js, Go, Vue.js, or similar technologies
3+ years of experience operating and maintaining large-scale production software systems
Experience with Redis or other NoSQL data stores
Experience working with messaging and job-queueing systems such as SQS, Kafka, Kinesis, or similar
4+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS, including services such as Lambda
Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks is a plus
Experience designing and reviewing microservice-based, cloud-native architectures at scale is a strong plus
Experience leading technical projects and collaborating closely with Product Managers is highly valued
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities
Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and legacy systems
Thrives in a team environment, actively contributes to collaboration, fostering a sense of community
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution
