About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Data Integration & MCP Engineer to design and lead the development of secure, AI-enabled enterprise data integrations.

This role focuses on building enterprise connectors, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and agent-driven integrations that enable Microsoft Copilot and other AI platforms to interact securely with enterprise data.

You will use AI coding agents to accelerate engineering workflows while taking ownership of integration architecture, data accessibility, governance, and security compliance.

We are looking for an independent, hands-on engineer who can develop production-ready AI solutions and translate complex enterprise data challenges into secure, scalable integrations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data connectors and MCP servers for AI-powered applications.
Enable Microsoft Copilot and other AI agents to securely interact with enterprise systems and data sources.
Implement identity-aware authentication and authorization, ensuring data access respects each user's permissions.
Build and orchestrate AI agents to generate, test, maintain, and optimize integration code.
Define data dictionaries, metadata standards, data organization principles, and governance frameworks.
Implement automated data quality monitoring, audit feedback loops, and compliance validation.
Design secure API integrations, authentication workflows, and permission-aware data retrieval.
Validate AI-generated code through security reviews and technical testing before production deployment.
Identify opportunities to improve enterprise data accessibility through AI-driven automation.
Communicate technical decisions, integration strategies, and measurable business outcomes to stakeholders.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experience using AI coding tools in professional engineering workflows.
1+ year building and operating AI agents, orchestration workflows, or agent harnesses.
Proven experience delivering AI-assisted or agent-driven solutions in production.
Strong experience with enterprise data integrations, APIs, connectors, and distributed systems.
Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or equivalent technologies.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and access controls.
Experience working with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience operating within enterprise security, compliance, and audit requirements.
Ability to independently own technical decisions and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated examples of measurable technical or business impact.

Microsoft Entra ID and delegated identity models.
Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Azure Data Factory.
Microsoft Purview or similar data governance platforms.
