About the role

We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Lead with strong experience in enterprise Salesforce development and implementation, combining technical leadership with a hands-on engineering approach.

You will work closely with a Salesforce Technical Architect to translate architectural designs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. This role combines Salesforce development, integrations, deployment automation, and DevOps practices, incorporating AI-assisted engineering tools to improve the software development lifecycle.

We are looking for someone who can independently implement complex solutions, troubleshoot technical challenges, improve delivery processes, and guide other developers while remaining actively involved in coding and configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Development & Implementation
  • Lead hands-on development across Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Salesforce Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Implement business logic, data models, security configurations, automation, and custom functionality.
  • Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Translate architectural designs into technical implementations in collaboration with the Technical Architect.
  • Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Salesforce DevOps & CI/CD
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or comparable tools.
  • Establish source-driven development workflows using Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, Git, GitHub, and Salesforce DevOps Center.
  • Manage metadata repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, environment synchronization, and release management.
  • Implement automated testing, code quality checks, deployment validation, and controlled releases.
  • Troubleshoot deployment failures, metadata conflicts, and configuration drift across environments.
  • AI-Enabled Development
  • Implement AI-assisted development workflows using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent coding agents.
  • Integrate AI tools with GitHub, Salesforce metadata, and development, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Leverage AI to assist with Apex and LWC development, configuration, automated testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Apply security, quality, and governance controls to AI-generated code and configurations.
  • Explore agentic development workflows and integrations based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Platform Optimization & Technical Leadership
  • Assess Salesforce metadata, configurations, integrations, security, and technical debt.
  • Implement platform improvements, refactoring, and modernization recommendations.
  • Support Salesforce data quality assessments, migration, cleansing, and remediation.
  • Guide developers, provide technical estimates, and support Agile delivery using Jira.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Architect, Product Owners, and client stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Maintain technical documentation and enforce engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including at least 3 years in a Senior Developer or Technical Lead capacity.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, Apex, LWC, SOQL, Salesforce Flows, and declarative development.
  • Experience with Salesforce security, sharing rules, data modeling, governor limits, and platform constraints.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, Git, GitHub, and Salesforce DevOps Center or comparable tools.
  • Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Salesforce release management.
  • Practical experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or comparable AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and enterprise software development practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and supporting technical delivery across teams.
  • Required: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.

Nice to have

  • Strongly Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I.
  • Additional Preferred Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, advanced Salesforce CI/CD automation, and enterprise-scale implementations.
  • Experience with agentic AI development, MCP-based integrations, and AI-driven test automation.
  • Experience with Salesforce technical debt assessments, metadata analysis, and platform modernization.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein AI, and MuleSoft.
  • Experience with Salesforce data migration, cleansing, and governance.
