Full Stack Developer

About the role

We are looking for two Full Stack Engineers to maintain and support an existing software platform while a new version is being developed in parallel.

This role focuses on production support, defect resolution, and small enhancements across an established technology stack built with Java and Vue. You will help keep the current platform stable and reliable, address customer-reported issues, and ensure that fixes and existing functionality are properly carried forward into the ongoing rewrite.

We are looking for hands-on engineers who can take ownership of issues from diagnosis through resolution, communicate clearly, and use AI coding agents as part of their daily development workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Triage, diagnose, and resolve customer-reported defects across the platform.
  • Maintain and extend existing backend services and frontend features using Java and Vue.
  • Support production releases, patches, and incident resolution.
  • Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
  • Keep technical documentation current as changes are implemented.
  • Coordinate with the rewrite team to ensure that fixes, existing behavior, and relevant functionality carry forward into the new platform.
  • Use AI coding agents to support development, debugging, testing, and code maintenance.
  • Communicate technical issues, risks, and blockers early, taking ownership of defects through resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Java EE and a Java MVC framework such as Spring.
  • Proficiency in Vue, preferably Vue 3, along with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS3.
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience writing automated tests using JUnit, Vitest, Jest, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Practical experience using AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools, as part of daily development work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to own defects end to end.
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to raising issues and coordinating with other team members.

Nice to have

  • Experience with microservice architectures.
  • Familiarity with MicroProfile REST Client, JAX-RS, JSON-P, and JSON-B.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and Agile tools such as Jira.
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS company or product development environment.
  • Experience working with compliance-sensitive or regulated data systems.
